Water Supply and Sanitation in Primary School Education in Developing Countries is a desk study which first looks at current practices and information on the topic and then makes suggestions for improving it. It collected more than 200 teaching and reference materials to review and looked at activities currently in place to teach school children key hygiene messages. Finally it looked at how school hygiene education could be strengthened through curriculum development, the availability of resource materials, better collaboration between agencies and an improvement of sanitary facilities in schools.
